保聯回應保監局新一期《監管通訊》- CPD違規情況的披露資料
16/12/2022
The Insurance Authority (IA) publishes its sixth issue of ‘Conduct In Focus’ today. In this regard, the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI) responds as follows:
The average number of CPD non-compliance registered persons in 2016-2018 was around 1,100, which was very similar to the 1,661 individual Licensees who reported that they had failed to complete the required number of CPD hours. As for the 8,469 failed to report on their CPD attainment at all, we believe they had left the insurance industry for various reasons including the pandemic-related travel restrictions.
We welcome the IA’s suggestions of good practices by Principals / Insurers for facilitating the completion and reporting of CPD hours by their Individual Licensees.
HKFI will further beef up its efforts on providing suitable training for intermediaries and continue working hand-in-hand with the IA to facilitate insurers in strengthening their CPD controls, governance and processes in line with the good practices.
